• Pharmacist sought in Brooklyn, NY to review prescriptions for accuracy and fill prescriptions.
• Communicate with other healthcare workers and physicians to clarify suitability or required modification of prescription as needed.
• Dispense and compound medications as needed and ensure medications are properly mixed, unexpired, in the correct dosage, and the correct number of pills if applicable.
• Prepare proper labels for medications and advise patients on possible drug interactions, side effects, proper storage.
• Manage inventory control, order generic and prescription drugs as needed, and return expired merchandise.
• Monitor drug interactions within prescription and over the counter medications.
• Manage patient profiles for better quality care of patients.
• Advise customers on selection of medication brands, medical equipment and health care supplies.
• Doctor detailing to promote and market pharmacy.
• Compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws for pharmacy management.

Requirements:

• PharmD/FPGEC equivalent and in lieu will accept bachelor’s in pharmacy/pharmaceutical sciences (or foreign degree equivalent) with FPGEC certificate.
• 5 years progressive experience as Pharmacist.
• Eligible for NY Pharmacist license.
